Are you already a Rainbow and want to find out more? Want to join but don't know much about it? Read on to find out more....
WHO ARE WE?
We are groups of girls aged 5-7 years old. We are the youngest in Girlguiding UK but we have the most fun!
There are about 10 Rainbow units in St Albans, including London Colney, Colney Heath, Park Street, Bricket Wood and Jersey Farm. So there is bound to be a group near you.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We get together in our units once a week. Here we play games, sing songs, make things, cook up recipes and listen to stories. If it's sunny we can also go outside.
Our programme is called the 'Rainbow Jigsaw' which is divided into four parts called

There are lots of exciting activities to try, as well as books, a bag, a special Rainbow song and badges to work for.
For older Rainbows there is a Pot of Gold Challenge with its own special badge.
There's always lots to do and it's great seeing all your friends. We sometimes go on trips and also have people come to visit us.
Our Rainbow Leaders look after us in our unit. They are great fun and make sure we are happy and safe.
WHAT DO WE WEAR?
Our uniform is fun and practical. You can choose from polo shirts, hooded jackets, cycling shorts and jog pants. There are also colourful tabards which are optional. They come in all the colours of the rainbow - red, green, blue and violet and each unit chooses one colour to wear.
